Green Carnation - A Dark Poem Trilogy - Collector's Edition Vinyl Box Set

Since their very first journey into the night more than 25 years ago, GREEN CARNATION have never shied away from a challenge. Founded by Emperor’s former bassist Tchort, the Norwegians quickly amassed a cult following while blazing their own trail through fields of symphonic doom, hard rock, acoustic plucking and progressive metal. However, from the beginning, there was one tale – or three, to be exact – that eluded them. Until now. 
With ‘The Messiah Complex’, GREEN CARNATION have completed another masterpiece. Inspired by Arthur Rimbaud’s dreamy ode to Shakespearean character Ophelia, ‘A Dark Poem’ reads as a grand and gloomy album trilogy that takes listeners to crushing new highs and the deepest, darkest and most personal depths. Whether it’s the second wave black metal that drives Part I, the raw and aching ballads that support Part II or the bold 16-minute orchestral finale to Part III, the results are resounding down to the last epic note.   
The limited-edition box set comes in an exclusive organic cotton tote bag. The box includes all three parts of ‘A Dark Poem’ on sunburst colored vinyl with special liner notes, photos from inside the studio, and an exclusive fourth LP featuring demos and outtakes from the recording sessions of the trilogy, including a new mix of “The World Without a View”.
