Sweden’s OPERA DIABOLICUS enters the realm of epic horror with their sophomore full-length, ‘Death on a Pale Horse.’ The record merges traditional heavy metal with elements of doom and gothic metal to create a dark and theatrical soundscape that centers around themes of witches, the plague, and vengeance. The album’s musical passages are elevated by guest contributions from some of the genre’s most iconic musicians such as Mats Levén (Candlemass, Therion, Skyblood), Snowy Shaw (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Therion, Notre Dame), Andy La Rocque (King Diamond, Death) and Michael Denner (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate.)
